Yeah I wake up in a panic in the mornings about OMG I have so much to do to get ready for this move, then when I wake up later it’s like it’ll be ok, it’ll all work out the way it’s supposed to. When packing I seem to be doing a retrospective of music that’s been important to me at different phases of my Lafayette sojourn. The Treasure Planet Soundtrack, The Phantom of the Opera, Hannibal Soundtrack (yes there is some really beautiful music on this one, along with some Anthony Hopkins monologues as Lector. Hahah), The Wicked Soundtrack, and more recently the V for Vendetta Soundtrack. Plus music from my distant past I’ve been reclaiming as part of my psyche/soul again. Bowie, Cash, Cooper, NIN, classical, jazz, soul, industrial and etc.
Therein lie many books to be written.
Like what was lost and why are there things to be reclaimed. But many of us have such stories don’t we?

Yeah Bay-bee!!!!
I’d been debating this issue actually for the last several years. At some point I realized if I was still debating it–it meant I really did want to do it. But I’d been wishy washy because I’d never seen anything that took hold of me. I should dedicate it to Andrew/wavelength since he first had the American McGee version of the Chesire Cat on his site for a while and I thought that might be it for my first. This was part of a video game that came out in 2000, and apparently a movie is in production to be released in 2007. Maybe I should rent myself out for promotional advertising? I should have a few more by then. Haha I was googling for more images–Matt (different Matt from coworker mentioned on here previously) the artist and I had discussed the Jabberwocky for the next, but I have yet to find any good images of the McGee version online as of yet.
Future projects might include Jabberwocky on left shoulder or upper back, the Mad Hatter on the other arm, and Alice with her bloody knife over my heart. Works for me. And the life I’ve had but that’s another story.
Coworker Joel had had “Follow Your Heart” tattoed in Italian on his arm and had recommended Matt at New Breed near campus. Matt said later when I came in with a copy of the image in my last blog it made his day, since he and another artist had been wanting to do American McGee figures. I need to really buff/tone up more to be a worthy canvas.
I told Matt I need more tank tops now.
So…I came in at 1 PM. He worked on a stencil until about 2:30. And the tattoing was from about 2:30 til 9:30 PM ish. He commended me for sitting so still. I said well if I squirm that might mess up his work…so I came prepared to sit. Plus years of practice sitting all day and night at the pc screen. Haha
The first needlings didn’t bother me, but yeah after about towards the end my aspirin had long worn off and it was starting to get to me. But then he was done. And took pictures for his portfolio. I told him we’ll have to make some more for his portfolio. On this point ( no pun intended haha) it sucks I’m moving right now, but gives me a reason to come back maybe for the Feast of the Hunter’s Moon around early October. And see Soldier Josh in North Texas too. haha And Lucy who’ll be born then of Emily and Spencer.

Kevin and Susan when we hookahed a few weeks ago. Haha
”Thank you, Clarice. Thank you.
The lamb was…exquisite.”
Da guys! Bud Light, Levi, and Michael. Need to get one of Joel to round it out. Memorial Day weekend.
You — didn’t — honestly — think –
you were going to get away without a V for Vendetta pic did you?
Hahaha
Well I’ve joked that Christmas and Halloween start about now in the craft stores–especially after July Fourth. I should do a quick check of Hobby Lobby and Michael’s this week just to keep the love going. I guess if I move now I can get a head start on my All Hallow’s Festivations. Haha Never did put up my goth tree last years, but still all boxed up and good to go.
Jenn’s Barbecue tomorrow. Wil-a-Palooza!
