Well compared to sunny mid 80s yesterday, cloudy low 60s seems cold today, but cooler weather will make the dogwoods and azaleas and other flowers last longer.
We hiked up Stone Mountain to see the Super Moon, but unfortunately didn’t get there in time for actual moonrise.
Actually seemed rather small and yellow, but I think there was haze and thin clouds in that direction. When it was higher up, was brighter and larger looking. I guess I’ve been on top of Stone Mountain before at night–but don’t recall offhand. Was interesting seeing all the lights spreading outward in all directions. And some lightening in the clouds northward.I think the rabbit is living under an old door leaning against a house a few down, but he still comes to visit, and run circles around me.
Saw Georgia Tech’s Sonic Generator group’s performance at the Woodruff Art Center last Wednesday. They use a lot of lot of tech and computer effects in their performances. Robot playing a xylophone, feedback loops that performers would play with/against, multimedia show with a Philip Glass piece.
And previous Saturday went to the Highland Inn Ballroom Lounge to see Vanessa Briscoe Hay, formerly of Pylon, play with her new group–Supercluster. Opening group was Casper and the Cookies. The music was great–wish more people had been there.
My former boss offered me a new job–in Vietnam. He’s building a new store there. If this had been when I had just graduated/escaped college–I’d fled there– but–interesting to think about–
Moonset the day before “Supermoon” was mystical. Sometimes the moon does have a very otherwordly look.
It was setting in the West, framed by tree limbs, and looked wide open to connect to Elsewhere. I was going to try and catch it this morning, but I think it would have been cloudy if I had tried.I was having fierce graphic dreams first part of February. Remembering in great detail. I’m still dreaming/sliding a lot of stuff, but forget when I wake up.
Birds calling me outside.

it’s all of 34 here! I can’t wait for 80′s! the Super Moon thing seemed to be kind of a fizzle here! – didn’t seem much different than any other full moon peace, Al
I missed the supermoon all together. I think it was cloudy here anyway, but I didn’t even go out and look.
