Month: January 2011

  • Jack Frost is coming to town. Weather hos don’t want to commit. The main model says 8 inches snow, and some ice. They tried to soft pedal with “most people will probably just get 4 or 5,” or “a few might get 7,” then add “but some places might get 8.” Then mumble quickly some might get 12 but nothing to see here, move along-

I said all summer we’d have an ice storm this year. Magnolia limbs did not grow any while I was watching. However this past fall had to help people with other things–and in the meantime the limbs seemed to have grown quite a bit around various wires and lines.

I do have a pruning saw with long handle, but a bolt popped out and was lost. Hopefully I can fix. Sunny but windy and in low 40s today. Need to eat something and go out and see what I can do.

So–currently–they prognosticate– heavy snow Sunday night at 2 AM, then ice all day Monday through Tuesday. Whee!

Stores were light yesterday–I’m sure they’re fun now.

Still have spring bulbs to plant-haha–

  • Yes I remember in the beginning I’d post 3 or 4 times a day–albeit they were the length of tweets now. Then once daily. Weekly. Monthly. Have managed to avoid it being yearly. Haha Used to collect movie pictures and make picture stories.

Made a sojourn to Indiana for Christmas weekend. The snow they were expecting went south and graced Atlanta–including my yard I’m told–haha– But ground was still well covered from previous snow, and the roads were mostly clear. Cold enough though–had various long underwear or sweat pants on under clothes the whole time.

Unfortunately still have occasional cough. Basically ok if I don’t talk. People not the only thing in crowded Greyhound buses or terminals.

Lafayette mostly the same–still creeping sprawl though.

New Year’s Eve went to Wild Bill’s. (and the link thing not linking) Festive.

Now back to Holiday deconstruction and 2011 construction.
